Is why we are falling down.
Let's all celebrate.

Today I saw something I've never seen before. As I was enjoying a quick hike behind Superior, I spied (with my eye) a thistle plant that had all white flowers! Nearby were the regular purple thistles. What oddity was I looking at? Genetic? Was this a different species? I have no idea. (It is clearly not a cirsium hookerianum, which is a white thistle in the northwest.) If you look closely at the white flower you will see that it is tinged ever so slightly in pink or purple. In a month or so, I'll go back and collect some seeds.
