1) This gopher snake wouldn't pose for me so all I got was a close-up of its back. Very beautiful pattern, huh?
2) I know this looks like a cheap sex novelty purchased from a vending machine at a truck stop's lavatory, but I assure you that it's actually the larva (caterpillar) of a pipevine swallowtail. About an inch long.
